Indian players meet the legendary Vivian Richards 1

Ahead of the first Test match against West Indies, some Indian players took to twitter to post pictures of their meeting with legendary batsman Vivian Richards. The first Test match, which starts from July 21, will be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli along with  Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul and Stuart Binny interacted with the legendary batsman.

Virat Kohli, who is admired a lot by Vivian Richards, said that he received “words of gold” from the West Indies’ great.

Posting a selfie on his twitter account, Kohli said: “What a memorable moment. With the greatest ever, Sir @vivrichards56. Words of gold from him. #Grateful #Memorable”

The official twitter account of the BCCI too posted a picture of the meeting.

 

Young opener KL Rahul tweeted: “Major fan boy moment ?? Sir Viv was kind enough to give us some advice. #blessed #bossman what a legend.??”

Opener Shikhar Dhawan too expressed his happiness over the meeting and said: “Enjoyed having little discussion with Great Sir Viv Richards!!! Still feeling so happy!!”

After drawing the two practice games the Indian Team would be looking to get back to winning ways. After this four-match Test series, a bumper home season is awaiting the team where they are set to play 13 Tests. The young team would like to win the series and get the momentum before playing against the bigger teams.
