6. Chris Gayle:
Can there be a T20 tournament without the name of Chris Gayle in it? Shockingly, it would have been happening if Kings XI Punjab hasn’t given him a chance in the last round of IPL 2018 auction. However, to the surprise of the other franchises, Gayle showed his mania in the tournament.
He was the first person in 2018 edition to score a century and then carried the fine form in the rest of the game as well. His incredible hitting helped his side to churn out victories but the failure in the bowling department didn’t help the team.
He scored 358 runs in 11 games to make things fall in place for the team. In total, he smashed 3 fifties and a century at a brilliant average of 40.88. By all means, he is going to be a player to watch out in IPL 2019.
