INDIA’S BEST ODI XI OF 1990s 1
  1. VENKATESH PRASAD

The tall and lanky seamer played the perfect foil to Javagal Srinath all through the 90s. Venkatesh Prasad wasn’t express pace but mastered the art of changing his pace to deceive the batsman. Prasad could swing the ball both ways which made him effective in overseas conditions. Venkatesh developed a very good leg cutter which became his major wicket-taking weapon. Venkatesh always brought in his best against arch rivals Pakistan and the 1996 World Cup quarterfinal against the Pakis is a testimony to the same.
