INDIA’S BEST ODI XI OF 1990s 1
  1. AJAY JADEJA

Ajay Jadeja brought in that element of freshness into the Indian side. Jadeja was a dependable middle order batsman who had the ability to score quickly if the situation demanded. Jadeja was as calm as a cucumber and never succumbed to any pressure. Ajay was often seeing smiling and encouraging his batting partner in the middle.

Jadeja formed a good understanding with Robin Singh in the middle order and the two often took India home by chasing down big totals under pressure. The two agile batsmen ran lightning quick between the wickets.

Jadeja was India’s best fielder square of the wicket. He took some brilliant catches and effected some sensational run-outs from the backward point region. A smart cricketer with an analytical mind, Jadeja captained the side on a couple of occasions.
