INDIA’S BEST ODI XI OF 1990s 1
  1. JAVAGAL SRINATH

Javagal Srinath was India’s frontline seamer post the retirement of the legendary Kapil Dev. Srinath had the ability to move the ball off the seam at a brisk pace. Srinath mastered the art of bowling inswingers and his deliveries cut sharply into the right-handers.

He became India’s strike weapon on the seamer-friendly tracks abroad. Srinath formed a successful new ball pair with fellow Karnataka teammate Venkatesh Prasad. The duo were consistent in getting India heaps of wickets on seaming tracks abroad. Srinath was a handy lower-order batsman capable of scoring some quick runs lower down the order.
