2. Pakistan, 2004 (Away):

After some welcome change in the political stance between the two countries, India visited Pakistan after 15 years and made the tour memorable by not only winning the ODI series but also the subsequent Test series.
Under Sourav Ganguly’s inspirational leadership, Team India came of age as a fighting unit and defeated the hosts by 3-2 in the ODIs before shifting the focus on the Test series. The three-match series began with a bang as the visitors, led by Virender Sehwag’s historic triple century, won the first Test at Multan by a whooping margin of an innings and 52 runs.
In the next Test in Lahore, Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets to level the series.
In Rawalpindi, however, India once again thoroughly dominated the hosts to win the match by an innings and 131 to seal the series. Dravid had starred in that Test by scoring his career-best 270, which was more than Pakistan’s total in both the innings- 224 and 245. The win was India’s first and only Test series win in Pakistan till date.
