- Shikhar Dhawan

In the absence of regular opener Rohit Sharma, his partner from the past two years in the same slot, Shikhar Dhawan is likely to start as the opener in the series. The southpaw has been out of the squad from a while now, having missed the ODI series against New Zealand due to an injury.
The left-handed batsman was however the part of India’s A squad for the first practice match against England and he scored 63 runs.
