The two day tour match between India and Cricket Australia XI which was scheduled to take place on November 28th and 29th at Adelaide has been abandoned due to the untimely demise of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes.
Given the fact the it’s a very heart-breaking situation for the cricketing world, especially the Australian Cricket, the authorities have promptly postponed this tour match.
At first the intention was to re-schedule this tour match on November 29th and 30th but now that also stands cancelled. It seems a mature decision considering the mindset of players due to be involved, many of who have played with and against the left-hander.
Cricket Australia on Twitter released a statement saying the game stands cancelled and also that Indian team will train in nets on Friday, not on the ground, as a mark of respect to Phillip Hughes.
The CA XI v India match at Adelaide Oval has now been cancelled. It was scheduled for Fri-Sat, then moved to Sat-Sun but now abandoned.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket team expressed its deepest condolences at this untimely sad demise of Phillip Hughes. The statement released by the Indian Cricket team through Cricket Australia said:
“The touring Indian team joins the cricketing fraternity across the world in offering condolences to the family of Phillip Hughes, who has departed from our midst.
“In this moment of grief, we pray that they are bestowed with divine strength to overcome this unfortunate tragedy. As fellow cricketers we cherish the memories of playing along with him and deeply respect his contribution to the game of cricket.”
