The Holkar Stadium in Indore, which recently hosted its first ever Test match last month, will host the final of Ranji Trophy 2016/17 from January 10 to 14. The quarters will kick off from December 23 whereas the semi-finals will start from January 1. The semi-finals and the final have been preponed by two days.
The quarter-finals will be played in Raipur, Vizag, Jaipur and Vadodara where Hyderabad will take on Mumbai, Karnataka will take on Tamil Nadu, Gujarat will take on Odisha and Haryana will take on Jharkhand respectively. The semi-finals will be played in Rajkot and Nagpur.
Defending Champions Mumbai will look to edge past Hyderabad and move an inch closer to win the title, whereas Karnataka, the Ranji Trophy champions of 2014/15, will also look to regain the glory.
All the qualified teams will hope to get the services of their star players who are currently busy in Test series against England.
