India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been released from the squad for the fourth Test against England citing an injury while opener KL Rahul, who was left out of the Mohali Test due to an injury in his left forearm, is expected to return for the next match in Mumbai, that starts on December 8.

Hardik Pandya, who has been looked upon as the next genuine seam bowling all-rounder for India, has now been released from the squad. The right-handed all-rounder picked up four wickets and scored 45 runs in the ODI series against New Zealand at home, with his best figures of 3/31 coming in the first ODI at Dharamsala.
On the other hand, KL Rahul is expected to get fit for the Mumbai Test. The right-handed batsman has had some tough few weeks as he was firstly ruled out from the New Zealand tour due to a hamstring injury and was now sidelined for the Mohali Test after he sustained a blow on his forearm.
Rahul, who played the second Test at Visakhapatnam, did not impress much with his willow as he scored 0 and 10 in both innings. Though his ability to score runs at the top level cannot be questioned considering his tons in Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
