MS Dhoni – The Untold Story is arguably the most awaited Bollywood movie across India this year. The craze for the movie has peaked to the maximum limit as the release date is closing in on as it is now just over seven days to reveal the real life story of India’s most successful captain MS Dhoni.

Anupam Kher shaves off his mustache
Veteran actor Anupam Kher have decided to shave off his mustache to make sure he is blend perfectly into the role of MS Dhoni’s father in the flick. The 61-year old has tweeted, “Shot for Neeraj Pandey’s biopic on MS Dhoni. As usual a great start. Had to cut my mustache for the role after many years.”
John Abraham to play a role
According to various reports, Bollywood actor John Abraham could be playing a role in the movie as he shares a close relationship with Indian captain MS Dhoni. He is a huge admirer of Dhoni and reports suggest that he had a great respect to the director’s vision and was sure about Sushant playing the role of MS Dhoni perfectly.
Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni
The young actress has grabbed a huge opportunity as he is set to play the role of MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi in the movie. Having made her debut with Fugly which did not farw well at the box office, Kiara could really boost her career with this movie.
London Shoot Shocker
The cast were ready to take off to London for a shoot but the trip was cancelled at the last minute. The unit then went to Mauritius to complete the shooting as they want to cut short the expenses to make the movie within the budget. Apart from budget, there were some visa problems which prompted the unit to move to Mauritius despite initially planning for London.
Story behind ‘Phir Se’ song
The makers of the movie has decided to dedicate the song “Phir Se” from the movie to Indian cricket team when they faced off against Pakistan in 2015 World Cup. The movie director has written the song himself as he expressed his joy with the song’s output was on par with his expectations.
“The idea was to sum up the mood and emotion for the entire nation. ‘Phir se…‘ is an anthem, plea, prayer, dream all rolled in one. And M M Kreem (composer) and Manoj Muntashir (lyricist) have done this beautifully,” Pandey had said in a statement.
“‘Phir se…‘ is our tribute to the inherent passion our players have for the country and the love we have towards our own team. We just want to tell it to them through this wonderful track that they have always made us proud and we always are with them unconditionally!,” Sushant had said.
Tough research by Neeraj Pandey
Neeraj Pandey has decided to go for the biopic of MS Dhoni and he found that the research was the toughest part of the movie was the research as they began the movie. The director along with the movie unit have spent time in Kharagpur to do some research on MS Dhoni.
The 20-year old MS Dhoni went to Kharagpur looking for a TTE job and was spotted by Divisional Railway Manager (Kharagpur) Animesh Kumar Ganguly who took Dhoni to the South Eastern Railway Sports Association (SERSA) stadium and bowled him 60 balls non-stop and gave him a TTE job along with a chance to play cricket.
