During the black and white era, many cricketers double up in cricket and football. In this article we have seen cricketers like CB Fry, RE Foster have played for England in cricket and football and also in club football for many prestigious English Premier League team. But in modern day sports sportspersons concentrate on one sport to make the game a profession. And it is very difficult to double up in two highly competitive games as a demand of physical fitness in international sports force them to stick with one game.
But, Southern Star allrounder Ellyse Perry is a true allrounder sportswoman. She made his debut in 16 both for cricket and football, she has managed to carry her both careers with perfection.
Perry has played 6 Tests for Australia and turns out for Sydney FC in the W-League, the top professional football league for women in Australia. She has expressed no desire to stop playing either sport in the near future.
The 25-year-old has won the most coveted ICC Women’s World Cup and World T20 (twice). She also participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011, where she a spectacular goal against Sweden.
