Exactly a year ago, Mitchell Johnson’s cricket career with Australia was hanging in balance. It was a time when he was fighting hard to regain his place in the weakening Aussie side. A terrific IPL season followed by a successful CLT20 campaign with Mumbai Indians opened the floodgates for Johnson. This time he capitalised with both hands. Unlike the Johnson of the past, the new look Johnson with a fiery moustache bowled fast and made the opposition batsmen to duck for cover. He was severe in the 2014 Ashes series in which he won the Ashes for his side single-handedly. His current form will give nightmare to the opposition.

He was not retained by Mumbai Indians but the Rohit Sharma led franchise will look to use the Joker card for Mo-Jo. If he was not retained Kings XI Punjab will be trying hard to sign him as he will suit them in the seaming wickets at Mohali and Dharamshala.
