A poor start for the defending champions started with a huge loss as Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians by 41 runs. However, MI managed to win the twitter battle with 53%-47% over KKR.

Here are the twitter reactions for the 1st game of the season:

It started with some epic trendsetting tweets from Trendulkar. And easily showed Mumbai Indians lost the fan following after Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement.

And soon a beautiful Malinga’s Toe crushing Yorker went into the Gautam Gambhir’s stumps and soon realised it was positive dismissal for him.

And Kallis was going with singles on one end as soon Ex-Indian Cricketer Aakash Chopra tweeted this.

It was some hopeful tweets from Kallis supporters backing his innings as FSL tweets the reality.

And once again it was Aakash Chopra who took on Kallis as he supported Malinga for dropping the catch.

And in came stat tweet of Manish Pandey as he scored a brilliant 50. It followed by a funny tweet from epic tweeter Ramesh Srivats.

Soon after Kallis was criticized for his slow batting he came in to a beat hitting mode. And this appeared in between.

At the end of the innings it was Sachin’s show as his smile enlightened many people after been featured on Television screens.

Hussey on whom Mumbai had big hopes was dismissed cheaply to Narine.

Corey Anderson who was expected much was failed both with bat and ball as he looked clueless against spin. And he got trolled by Ex-MI player.

It was our own FSL compared Corey with Indian uncapped players.

Some instructions came from England’s Michael Vaughan for Mumbai Indians to open with Rohit Sharma.

A tweet just like Ravi Shastri’s commentary came at the end.

After a poor game Mumbai Indians twitter handle came out with a positive tweet to reduce some sadness in fans.
