- David Warner (9.5/10):
Warner was the ideal instance of a perfect leader in this edition. The southpaw instilled positives within the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had a poor start to their campaign after losing the first couple of games. With 848 runs in 17 matches, Warner was second only to the dashing Virat Kohli in terms of the runs scored. But apart from his destructive batting, it was Warner’s on field tactics which played a key part. In the second half of the tournament, Warner gathered his resources way too efficiently. His handling of players such as Ben Cutting and Moises Henriques played a crucial part behind the glory achieved by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
