IPL 2016, Delhi Daredevils VS Kolkata Knight Riders: Player Ratings

The 26th match of the season saw Delhi Daredevils welcoming two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at their home.Both the teams lost their previous matches and were looking to get back to winning ways.
Kolkata looked to close the gap on Gujarat Lions at the top of the table while Delhi hoped to win to shrug off their inconsistency.
Batting first Delhi Daredevils started poorly as they lost three wickets with only 32 on the board. But then a 105-run partnership between Karun Nair and debutant Sam Billings steadied the ship. Carlos Brathwaite then played a quickfire innings of 34 from just 11 balls to take
Delhi to a huge total of 186.
Chasing 186,Kolkata never found the rhythm as they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Robin Uthappa waged a lone battle as wickets kept on tumbling from the other end. In the end, they fell short by 27 runs.

Failed to score once again and was dismissed in the very first over.
2.Shreyas Iyer: 1/5
The situation is getting worse for Iyer. He is continuously failing with the bat and that is putting a lot of pressure on the middle order.

Failed once again with the bat and was dismissed cheaply.
4.Karun Nair: 3.5/5
Came in to bat at a very tough position but batted brilliantly to take Delhi out of trouble. Scored 68 from 50 balls.
5.Sam Billings: 4/5
The debutant played a flawless innings and scored a quick fifty to ease the pressure off Karun Nair.
6.Chris Morris: 2.5/5
Failed with the bat but bowled three economical overs to put the pressure on KKR.
7.Carlos Brathwaite: 4.5/5
His innings probably took the game away from KKR. Scored 34 off just 11 balls, in the end, to take Delhi to a formidable total of 186.Was expensive with the ball but took three wickets to derail Kolkata’s chase.

Did not do much with the bat.

Had an average day on the field. Was quite expensive with the ball and went wicketless.
10.Amit Mishra: 3/5
His catch to dismiss Andre Russell was the turning point of the match. Russell was threatening to take the match away from Delhi but a brilliant catch from him dismissed the West Indian.
11.Zaheer Khan: 3.5/5
Led from the front. Took three wickets and most importantly dismissed the in-form Gautam Gambhir early to set the tone for his team. His aggressive captaincy never allowed the KKR batsmen to bat freely
