IPL 2016 Finals: Five talking points of RCB vs SRH

SRH defeated RCB by 8 runs in high scoring finals at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on Sunday. It was a brilliant match as SRH scored a competitive total of 208. The way Gayle and Kohli started was looking like RCB would win the match but SRH made a tremendous comeback win the match and title for the first time.
- Explosive start by SRH openers
After winning the toss SRH elected to bat on a good batting pitch at Bangalore. David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan gave the team a flying start with both players looking in good touch. David Warner continued his excellent form in the tournament attacking Royal Challengers Bangalore. Shikhar Dhawan also played wonderful strokes of the Chris Gayle and fast bowlers. Both of them scored 59 runs in the first six overs. At the time when Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for 28, the score was 63. David Warner played a captain’s knock of 69.
- Regular wickets put pressure on Sunrisers batsmen
At the end of 13th over Sunrisers Hyderabad were 120 for 2 with David Warner going great guns. Arvind picked the crucial wicket of David Warner. After the fall of Warner’s wicket, Yuvraj Singh played excellent shots which put pressure back on Royal Challengers bowlers. Deepak Hooda was dismissed cheaply. After the time out Jordan picked the wicket of Yuvraj Singh. Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers restricted the Sunrisers batsmen with quick wickets from 13th to 17th over.
- Cutting quick fire cameo
Ben Cutting came to the crease in the 17th over. Cutting just took off right from ball 1. In the last over he smashed 23 runs off Watson bowling in 19th over with one six going outside the stadium. In the last four over’s Cutting just made the batting look easy. In the last over, Cutting had scored 40 runs.He played attacking shots and did not allow bowlers to settle. He scored an unbeaten 39 off 15 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes which helped Sunrisers to post a competitive total of 208 for 7.
- Brilliant opening partnership between Gayle and Kohli
Chasing a massive target of 209, RCB openers Chris Gayle and Kohli gave the team a flying start. Gayle looked in marvelous touch hitting the bowlers to all parts of the ground. Chris Gayle took the attack to the bowlers and did not allow any bowler to settle to a line and length. On the other hand, Kohli played a supporting role. Chris Gayle completed his half-century off 25 balls. He continued to smash the bowlers. He was dismissed for 76 hitting 4 fours and 8 sixes. Both of them put on 114 in 10 over are which raised the hopes of remarkable victory.
- Remarkable comeback by SRH bowlers
After a brilliant opening partnership between Kohli and Gayle, SRH bowlers made an excellent comeback by picking crucial wickets at important times. Kohli and AB De Villiers went in quick succession which changed the momentum . After that, Rahman and Kumar did not allow the RCB batsmen to hit big strokes. Watson also did not contribute too much with the bat. All the bowlers contributed and helped SRH to win the match by 8 runs. Sachin Baby tried his level best but Kumar really showed his class which sealed the match for SRH.
