IPL 2016 has been a chasers tournament as so far only one match has been won the team batting first of the 15 played. Following the same trait, Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to field. Royal Challengers coming in to bat, lost KL Rahul early and then got together the deadly batting pair of AB de Villiers and Kohli.
Both of them registered yet another 150 run plus partnership and guided the team to 185 runs in 20 overs. Rising Pune Supergiants batsman haven’t been in great form apart from the first match they played. The batting pair of Ajinkya Rahane and Faf du Plessis started poorly again as Faf lost his wicket in the 2nd over itself and Kevin Pietersen had leave the field after 1 ball after an injury. Dhoni and Rahane steadied the innings later on. RPS did manage to take the match close but few initial mistakes hurt them, to point one is the drop catch of Kohli.
