A gloomy day in Bangalore and an hour and a half before the match is slated to begin, the rain Gods begin their downpour. Almost 2 hrs of heavy rain and the ground is completely drenched. More importantly, if the match does not happen, chances of RCB qualifying for the play-offs get a hit. On the other hand if RCB win, they jump to the 2^nd spot in the points table.

With so much counting on this match, rain did stop and the ground staff did tremendous job to dry the ground and at last the game began with 15 overs a side. Murali Vijay started off with positive intent in the first over but lost his wicket early. Saha and Amla couldn’t stay for long either as both of them lost their wicket in the quest to increase the scoring rate. In the end, KXIP 92 runs of the last over and rain interfered again, however it was obvious that RCB had already won by DL Method.
