Both Royal Challengers and Knight Riders are in a desperate need of a win as both the teams have lost their last two matches. While KKR are 5th on the table, RCB are on 7th. KKR have been successful while chasing and RCB have won both their matches by defending the total.

Gautam Gambhir won the toss and chose to field and both the captains were happy as they got to what they do best. Chris Gayle came back into the team after a small break. However, his the small break didn’t have any change in his form as he got out early. Kohli came on No 3 today put up a good partnership with KL Rahul. Both batsmen scored their respective 50s. In the end, there were useful contributions from Watson, Sachin Baby and Stuart Binny, which took the team total to 185/7 in 20 overs.

Coming into chase, the local boy Robin Uthappa couldn’t last long. Gambhir scored important 37 runs. Big hitters Andre Russell and Yusuf Pathan took charge after a rare failure of the KKR top order. In the end, it was the 60 off 29 deliveries from Yusuf Pathan that sealed the game for KKR.
