IPL 2016: SRH VS KXIP- Player Ratings 1

The 18th match of the season saw high flying Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) taking on strugglers Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
SRH captain David Warner won the toss and decided to bowl first.

The poor form of KXIP batsmen continued as they could score only 143. Chasing the target, the opening pair of SRH continued their good run with the bat as they raced to 65 runs without any loss inside the powerplay. The duo added 90 runs for the first wicket to take
SRH to a comfortable position in the match. They lost two wickets in succession but then chased down the target without any problem.

  1. David Warner :
    This man is in serious form. Once again gave a terrific start to the team. Scored fifty in only 23 balls to make the match a one-sided affair.

2. Shikhar Dhawan:
Made the most of his newly found form. Once again played the perfect role of partner for David Warner and anchored the innings smartly.

Promoted up in the batting order, he failed to capitalise on the opportunity as he was run out without opening his account.

4. Eoin Morgan: 3/5
Came in after two wickets fell in quick succession and scored a swift 25 runs to settle the nerves.

5. Deepak Hooda: 1/5
Had the chance close the match but failed as he was run out for only 5.

6. Moises Henriques: 2.5/5
Was expensive in the bowling but dismissed Maxwell and Miller in quick succession to help his team restrict KXIP to a low total.

7. Naman Ojha : 1/5
Had nothing much to do when he came to bat.

8. Bipul Sharma:0.5/5
Did not bowl or bat.

9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 1.5/5
Dismissed Murali Vijay early on but was very expensive with the ball. Conceded 37 runs off his 4 overs.

10. Mustafizur Rahman: 4/5
What a performance by the ball. The Bangladeshi bowler bowled one of the best spells of the tournament. Conceded only 9 runs from his 4 overs and took the important wicket of Shaun Marsh and Nikhil Naik.

11. Barinder Sran:1.5/5
Had a bad day on the field. Went wicketless and conceded 33 runs from his 4 overs.
