IPL 2016: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians – Numbers to look out for
Apr 18, 2016 at 11:20 AM
After 2nd loss at home, Mumbai Indians reach Hyderabad to play Sunrisers. Sunrisers also lost their previous home game against the Knight Riders.
Sunrisers batting order hasn’t clicked yet apart from captain David Warner. The injury of Yuvraj Singh and out of form Dhawan is hurting them. On the other side, Mumbai Indians batsmen have shown average performance at home so far. We are still early into the tournament, but both these teams would be expecting that their batsmen strike form before it gets too late.
Here’s bringing to you some of the important numbers that we should look out for in the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians –
Head-to-Head – In the 6 previous meetings that both these team have had, Mumbai Indians have a upper hand with 4 wins.
5th player to hit 300 fours – Shikhar Dhawan has hit 299 boundaries in IPL so far. If he hits another one in the match against Mumbai Indians, he will become the 5th player in IPL history to reach this milestone. Other players to do so (from highest) – Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa.
3500 runs in IPL – Rohit Sharma is 17 runs short to become the 2nd player in the history to score 3500 runs in IPL. Suresh Raina leads the list with 3770 runs.
Face-to-face – Here’s are some of the player battles to look out for in this match
If Mumbai Indians have Bumrah, Sunrisers have Mustafizur Rahman (hope you remember the yorker he bowled to dismiss Andre Russell in the previous match). It will be exciting to see how these two young seamers bowl against David Warner and Rohit Sharma.
