IPL 2017: Bollywood Stars Tiger Shroff And Shraddha Kapoor To Perform During Opening Ceremony 1

With the nation gearing up for another bumper season of the Indian Premier League, the organisers are taking all possible measures to ensure another grand season of the lucrative league. The eight-team tournament, which gets underway on April 5 in Hyderabad, will be spread over 47 days across 10 venues with each team playing 14 matches.

But before Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore lock horns for the opening game of the season, fans across the country are looking for another star-studded opening ceremony. Fans are in for a great time as there will be as many as eight opening ceremonies in each of the home grounds, including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot.

The opening ceremonies of the T20 extravaganza have been graced by some of the biggest Bollywood stars in the past and the fans will be not be disappointed this year too as Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor will be performing during the opening ceremony.

According to a report in The Mumbai Mirror, Tiger Shroff will be starting the proceedings at Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium for a match between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 10. On the other hand,  Shraddha Kapoor will be performing before the match commences in Kolkata where a grand ceremony has been planned.

“Shraddha will soon start rehearsing for her act and is really excited. Her father Shakti Kapoor who has played cricket at the state-level and is a huge fan of the sport, will also attend the event to cheer his daughter on and support Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders,” a source close to the development was quoted as saying by the outlet.

The tenth edition of the IPL will culminate with the final on May 21.
