In a small run chase on a sluggish pitch, Sharma was expected to keep things tight and maintain the pressure. He did exactly that as he held up his end and especially didn’t allow the free flowing Steven Smith to widen his arms and score runs with ease. That turned out to be a very crucial spell from the leg spinner as he gave away just 18 runs in 4 overs.
