Fans expected the young rising name to come out all guns blazing. However, Rahul Tripathi failed on the important occasion. Coming out to open the inning with Rahane during the small chase, Tripathi, who has had the distinction of achieving a couple of exciting chases this season, failed to make any impact and was able to score just 3. While overall he may be one of the biggest finds, this failure now ends Tripathi’s season on a dull note with a string of poor scores in the last five matches.
