At a time when the team management of both Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians are busy preparing and making plans for winning the final of the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, famous astrologer Greenstone Lobo has predicted that the Steve Smith-led side will continue their winning momentum and lift their maiden IPL title.
The astrologer backs his claim by stating that since MS Dhoni, who had led the now-suspended Chennai Super Kings to two titles, is the most successful captains in the history of the tournament, no one can better his record and even Rohit, who according to the astrologer has had the best horoscope amongst all the captains in the tournament, can surpass Dhoni and become the first skipper to lead a team to three titles.
“There is a quota of success for each horoscope. One cannot win more than what one is destined to. The strength of the horoscope shows how many wins one can end up with. Rohit Sharma definitely cannot better the captaincy records of Dhoni, who probably has the best horoscope amongst all the captains who have featured in the IPL since its inception. Dhoni has won just two IPL crowns, and Rohit too may end up with only two” the astrologer wrote in his column on Sportskeeda.
In addition to leading Mumbai Indians to two IPL titles, Rohit had also led the side to Champions League T20 glory in 2013- something that the astrologer feels will work against him in the final.
He further added that since the Mumbai Indians have had the same nucleus when they lifted those three trophies under Rohit and so it is very unlikely that they will triumph this year. He backed his claim by citing Kolkata Knight Riders’ journey in the tournament. Saying that the Kolkata-based outfit, that had won two trophies under Gautam Gambhir with almost the same nucleus, were eliminated from the tournament after losing in the second qualifier and Mumbai are also likely to end the tournament on a disappointing note.
Writing about the factor that works in the favour of the Supergiant, the astrologer said:
“The biggest factor that goes in favour of the Rising Pune Supergiant is that their captain Steven Smith has not really won any major tournament as a skipper except the inaugural Big Bash League in 2011. Smith has four planets in super strong positions – Planet-X, Planet-Y, Mars and Venus.”
“This may not be extraordinary compared to a Dhoni or even Rohit, but Smith definitely has it in him to win a grand tournament like the IPL at least once and this is his best chance to do so. Moreover, the entire Pune team consists of players who haven’t tasted huge success in the past despite possessing good horoscopes and that only augments Pune’s chances. Thankfully for them, this time the captain is not Dhoni. And this is what will do the trick for them,” he added.
Well, only time will tell how correct the astrologer’s prediction is but Supergiant would surely start the final as the favourites. Mumbai Indians were the table-toppers of this season but lost thrice including the first qualifier and will have to overcome a psychological barrier in addition to playing good cricket if they want to become the first team to lift the title on three occasions. The much-awaited final will be played on May 12 in Hyderabad.
