3. Rohit Sharma (29 Fifties in IPL)

Another Indian, another top-order batsman, Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit is third on the list with 29 half centuries. He is opener now, a full-time and that has helped him gain confidence as a batsman and eventually, the results are out there. He is effective batting up there with the free-flowing strides and massive sixes, his preferred shots.
The right-handed batsman had a sound season last year, racking nearly 500 runs (489) in 15 matches with five half-centuries and one hundred. He, like many times, was crucial to their title run, which couldn’t come true, Rohit is expected to perform on the same lines or even better after recovering from the thigh injury he sustained four months back.
Someone of his calibre is always on the cards to steal the show and in the forthcoming season, it might just come true, again.
