IPL 2017 : "It Is Hard To Make a Plan For Virat Kohli"- L Balaji 1

Indian Captain Virat Kohli’s form in recent time is kind of unmatchable. His performance in a recently concluded home season was extraordinary, though in initial IPL games he was injured and coming back after a bit of gap he still looks in the same touch as he was in for Indian team. Royal Challengers Bangalore next in line will be facing Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR Bowling coach Lakshmipati Balaji said it is not possible to make any plan for a player like Virat Kohli. He also said Virat Kohli is like army men going on the battlefield.

“It is hard to plan. It’s like an army men going to the battlefield… the important thing is what we can control. The very good thing is we got five wickets(in the last match). When you keep doing that, the outcome take care of itself.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting line up is filled with stars like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and Ab Devilliers, what bowler must be thinking of planning against such big names. Balaji also backed his bowler and hoped for them becoming good in death overs.

“Twenty-20 is all about on that day what you do. Batting has decided most of the outcomes… we can not control the opposition but we can do control many things we are doing”

“We have reached nearly 40 wickets. It is all about wickets, Do not go by runs, because as a bowler your destination depends on how many wickets you take and not by economy rate. You may bowl a couple of maidens, but wickets are important. We will improve 0n a couple of areas”

Kolkata Knight Riders in the league are standing at the second position after Mumbai with 10 points.
