IPL 2017: Kings XI Punjab Ropes In Veterans As CEO And COO
Kings XI Punjab, who recently appointed Virender Sehwag as the head of Cricket Operations and Strategy of the franchise, has made two more big appointments for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League as they have roped in Satish Menon as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Rajeev Khanna as the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The former President of Nimbus, Satish Menon, is a veteran media baron. He has been linked with various media houses in past at big positions. Speaking on the announcement, Menon said,
“I am back in the sports industry, which is my passion; it gives me great pride to be associated with a prestigious team. Punjab as a region is also getting a lot of attention and traction from the advertising and marketing fraternity.”
Rajeev Khanna, who was with the team last year as General Manager now gets a new role to perform. A lawyer by profession, Khanna, in past has also worked with Rajasthan Royals. He comes in a new role with over an experience of 16 years in the sports industry.
