As if the criticism and digs shot at Mahendra Singh Dhoni from Harsh Goenka, former cricketers and fans were not enough, Bollywood’s controversial critic Kamal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, has also joined the bandwagon.
The former India skipper is going through one of the toughest phase of his illustrious cricket career right now. Just a few weeks before the commencement of the Indian Premier League, he was surprisingly replaced with Australia skipper Steve Smith as the skipper of the Rising Pune Supergiant. Given that Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in the history of the tournament, it looked like a very harsh decision.
But Dhoni’s performances with the bat in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League is only justifying the franchise’s decision. After managing just 61 runs in his first five outings this season, the 35-year old roared back to form with a match-winning knock of 61 runs off just 34 deliveries. However, he failed to sustain his form thereafter, scoring 7, 23, 21* and 26 in the next four matches.
His poor form with the bat, meanwhile, gave KRK a chance to take a shot at him before Rising Pune Supergiant’s match against Kolkata Knight Rider earlier this week.
Urging Dhoni to perform well at least in the city of his in-laws, he tweeted:“Bhai @msdhoni Aaj Toh Sasural Main Khel Raha hai, Izzat Rakh Lena! #KKRvRPS #IPL2017” which roughly translates to ‘brother MS Dhoni, today you are playing at your in-laws’ place, please spare the blushes’. In case you don’t know, Dhoni wife, Sakshi Dhoni hails from Kolkata.

Well, Dhoni could not shut KRK down as he managed to score only 5 runs from 9 balls but it did not prove costly as his team rode on Rahul Tripathi’s blistering 93-run knock to beat Knight Riders by 4 wickets.
