IPL 2017: Sachin Tendulkar And Vivian Richards Team Up To Sing!
IPL has always been known more not only for the stories happening on 22-yards but also beyond it!! Not just a bat-ball story!
Former cricket legends seem to have met during this season and definitely, there’s gonna be something more than JUST cricket. Former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was recently seen to unveil a new song of his with singing star Sonu Nigam,‘Cricketwali Beat Pe’. the song is composed by Shamir Tandon which was quite a talk of the nation!
Recently Sachin Tendulkar uploaded a picture alongside legendary West Indian all-rounder, Viv Richards on one of the social media platforms. While Sachin is busy with his IPL side, Mumbai Indian’s camp in the tenth edition of the league, Viv is on to spend some quality time in India!
Richards was invited at Tendulkar’s house in Mumbai as the West Indies cricket legend arrived in Mumbai. As they meet they indulge in a jamming session of Master Blaster’s new song on the block!
Sachin Tendulkar shared the image with the caption, “Testing out each other’s musical skills. Always special to meet my batting hero.”
Sir Vivian Richards was quick to reply with, “Had an amazing evening catching up with the master of cricket himself, @sachin_rt.”
After his retirement from the world of cricket Sachin never confined himself to only cricket fields but also a lot of work out of the field, starting from his social services to being a protagonist to promote social stuff for the underprivileged. He also is coming up with his new film SACHIN: A Billion Dreams which is soon gonna hit the theatres this summers and to amaze the fans GOD acted himself, thus singing is not a big deal for this man.
On the first day of the IPL Extravaganza, the legends of the game were felicitated by Rajeev Shukla.
“I can’t believe that IPL has completed 10 years. This is a big achievement and it would not have been possible without the support of spectators. When IPL was announced in 2007 and when we played for the first time in 2008, honestly, I never thought IPL will be so big,” said the former Indian cricketer.
“It is a matter of pride that in India a big tournament like IPL has happened and which the whole world has taken notice of. I thought it won’t be as competitive as it is right now. But as the tournament progressed, its competitiveness, its competitive juice inside, sportsmanship, have gone to a different level,” said Tendulkar.
“The spectators are enjoying. The best part of IPL is that cricket has gone to those countries which have got nothing to do with cricket. That has happened due to IPL,” he added.
