IPL 2017: List Of Five Players Who Have Highest Strike-Rate In Tournament 2

West Indies’ flamboyant all-rounder Andre Russell made his IPL debut in 2012 for Delhi Daredevils and is topping the list of highest strike rate as an individual in most of the editions.

The right-handed batsman Russell, who’s the massive striker of the ball, has faced 331 balls which included 37 sixes and 48 boundaries. He has amassed 574 runs at the strike-rate of 173.41 runs in 34 matches he has played so far at an average of 26.09.

However, Russell was banned for one year after he violated the anti-doping clause.

It’s pertinent to mention, his ban came into immediate effect on January 31, 2017, after an anti-doping panel found him guilty of violating the doping laws when he failed to fill the whereabouts clause on three separate occasions in Kingston.

Jamaican Russell has bagged 31 wickets at an average of 28.90 which further includes his best bowling figures of four for 20 against Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, in the ninth edition of IPL.

In 2014, he joined Kolkata Knight Riders and there on, has become vital cog for Eden Gaden-based outfit

As the IPL aural ceremony is just a day away, Russell has been replaced by New Zealand’s Collin de Grandhomme in Knight Riders squad.
