IPL 2017: List Of Injured Players!

Even before the start of the tenth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) the list of players to skip the tournament has grown to 16. Yes, even more than last year!

A few of the foreign players had backed out from the tournament keeping in mind the Champions Trophy which starts just after IPL whereas other players, mostly Indians, have been ruled out as they failed to carry the workload of the long home season.

Rahane is probably the only Indian player who was part of the long home season in Test and limited overs series and is still playing IPL, at the time of writing.

The number of growing injuries has given concern to the franchises and now they are looking for replacements.

The tenth edition of IPL starts from April 5 with defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on finalist of last year’s tournament Royal Challengers Bangalore at their home ground in Hyderabad. RCB will miss out on the services of their skipper Virat Kohli and it will be Shane Watson who will lead the team.
