The Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper-batsman is the only batsmen who have won the Orange cap and had his hands on the Il trophy at the same time. The 2014 seasons saw Uthappa reaching the peak of his consistency. KKR had no worries at the top of the order as the right-hander along with Gautam Gambhir gave flying starts to the team. And, by the time KKR was done winning the trophy, Uthappa had 660 runs at an average of 44 in 16 matches to his name.
