The 36-year-old leg-spinner Samuel Badree from the West Indies has written his name into record books after claiming hat-trick for this season of lucrative Indian Premier League. The spin wizard became 12th overall player to register hat-trick in the IPL history when he decimated the batting line-up of Mumbai Indians in the twelfth fixture of tenth edition before Australian pacer Andrew Tye became the 13th bowler to register the hat-trick on the same day
In the final over at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot, the 30-year-old Tye bagged three wickets in consecutive deliveries in the form of Ankit Sharma, Manoj Tiwary and Shardul Thakur.
However, for Mumbai Indians it was muscular Kieron Pollard, who wrapped the show for the visitors with his blazing knock of 70 off 47 balls which was laced with five sixes and three boundaries following the unbeaten Cameo of Krunal Pandya (37 off 30 balls).
After discipline bowling restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore on 142, Mumbai Indians batters struggled early on to see their side being reduced to seven for four in 2.4 overs that too in a Twenty20 game which further witnessed social media doing the postmortem of both the teams which included the star-studded players.
While rolling over his golden arm, Badree sent back Parthiv Patel (3 off 8 balls) followed by Mitchell McClenaghan (0 off 1 ball) before cleaning up Rohit Sharma (0 off 2 balls) on a beauty.
The crowd erupted following the heroic stuff from Badree before he celebrated the feat in his own way.
Andrew Tye Australian fast-bowler claimed the second hat-trick on April 14 (Friday) for Gujarat Lions against Rising Pune Supergiant.

Tye bagged five-fer after conceding just 17 runs in four overs to see Pune Supergiant posting 171 for 8 on board in their alloted 20 overs.
