IPL 2017 : Match 22 : Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians : Kings XI Punjab Predicted XI
Manan Vohra’s heroics against Sunrisers Hyderabad was not enough for Kings XI Punjab to gain back their winning streak. Now they are back in their adopted hut Holkar Stadium in Indore where they won their both of the games and when they stepped out they are down and out.
Right now in the points table, Kings XI Punjab is standing in the fifth position. Against Sunrisers, Kings XI had a hard fought game. Manan Vohra with his 95 runs inning failed to save Kings XI from a loss. Under Glenn Maxwell, Kings looked good in first two games and people were claiming they have done “unexpectedly” well but since they have lost their last three games against Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad now their confidence will carry a question mark.
Their bowling performance against Sunrisers Batting was good and against Mumbai, they have to be really on spot, Mumbai’s batting order and performance are considerably better than Sunrisers.
In the season 2016, they both teams have shared equal record winning one game each. In the first game in Mohali, Mumbai Indians registered a comfortable win over Kings XI by 25 runs. Parthiv Patel for Mumbai smashed 81 runs. In the second meeting in Vishakhapatnam Kings XI took the revenge and chased down an easy target of 125 runs. Though both teams failed to reach in Knockout stages of the tournament.

Kings XI Punjab still require some explosive partner for Manan Vohra as an opener and Martin Guptill yet to make his IPL comeback, I guess King XI Punjab should look for him to partner with Manan Vohra in Opening place.
Though their spinners have done well specially Axar in the last game was very impressive and in Indore, he will have a big role to play. Their middle order is equipped with some good players and I don’t think they are going to consider any changes there though their pace bowling is looking bit shady, Sandeep performance this season has not been much impressive. Kings Xi may bring in T Natarajan for his capability in bowling in death overs.
Kings XI Punjab XI-
Manan Vohra, Hashim Amla, Glenn Maxwell(C), Eoin Morgan, David Miller, Wridhiman Saha(WK), Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, Swapnil Singh/KC Cariappa, Sandeep Shrma, Ishant Sharma/T Natarajan
