Pandya Brothers:
It’s absolutely true good things come in packages. While it was Hardik who got Mumbai the first breakthrough during the RCB innings, elder sibling Krunal proved the perfect foil for Pollard by rotating the strike for the most part when Mumbai was still in its vulnerable stages, before going for the kill towards the end.
The winning six was once again reserved for Hardik, hitting the penultimate ball of the penultimate over towards long-on.Hardik has played quickfire innings with Nitish Rana already and is seen to continue the trout again and again. After Nitish was dismissed by RCB, Krunal and Pollard ensured that the two did not lose their cool and kept taking it slow and steady. While Krunal kept running the singles and doubles, Pollard too looked to score singles before putting the bad deliveries away for boundaries.
Both Krunal and Pollard ensured that the required run-rate never crossed the 11-run mark. In the process, Pollard also crossed 7000 runs in T20 cricket. Krunal first hit a boundary off the first ball of the 19th over and Hardik hit a huge six to seal the deal with 7 balls to spare. Krunal remained unbeaten on 37 off 30 balls to see his team home.
