IPL 2017: Royal Challengers Bangalore All-time XI 1
Royal Challengers Bangalore 2009

Saurabh Tiwary:

RCB has been very fortunate to have the likes of Kohli, De Villiers, Gayle and Kallis all these years. However, the drawback of having these names is that often we tend to forget the lesser known names. For example – Saurabh Tiwary.

Tiwary is the second biggest name to emerge from RCB after the legendary MS Dhoni. At one stage he was even compared to Dhoni for his hard hitting style and long locks.

The left-hander began his IPL journey with Mumbai Indians and tasted great success. Ahead of the IPL 2011, the RCB acquired him for a record USD 1.6 million and he represented the franchise till 2014 season. In those years, he was a valuable name in the lower middle order, contributing some really good cameos.
