Sarfaraz Khan, the right-handed batsman, who left the RCB camp before the start of the season due to an injury has returned to the camp and has joined the squad. Sarfaraz himself revealed the news on twitter as he wrote –

The former India Under 19 batsman was supposed to be the main player for the team as Daniel Vettori, the Head Coach of RCB side had earlier revealed that it was Sarfaraz who would have replaced Virat Kohli in the side, as the Indian skipper missed the opening phase of the tournament. But Sarfaraz himself got injured and was ruled out for few weeks.
Sarfaraz suffered a leg injury a day before the RCB team was to fly to Hyderabad for the first game of the season. In between, there were reports that Sarfaraz might miss on the whole tournament but later, batsman himself confirmed that he has not been ruled out of the tournament but will miss the better part of it.
RCB side in midst though signed Harpreet Singh Bhatia, the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder, as his replacement.
At present, RCB sit at the last place in the points table with just three matches remaining. So there are bleak chances of Sarfaraz playing any game for the side as he is still in the recovery mode and may take some more time to be fully fit to be part of the team.
Sarfraz was not the only casualty as even before the start of the season, it was confirmed that the side will miss the services of KL Rahul, who underwent a shoulder operation. Kerala batsman Vishnu Vinod replaced him but played only two games.
RCB have already been ruled out of the tournament and might not risk any of the under recovery player now.
RCB take on Kings XI Punjab in their next game on May 5 at their home ground in Bengaluru.
