1. Strengths
- Plenty of opening options; from Shreyas Iyer to Rishabh Pant, Sam Billings to Aditya Tare, Delhi has a lot of talented openers. Even in case of an injury, the side has equally skilled batters to make their mark. Not many teams in the league have got such options.
- Big-Hitting all-rounders; From World Cup winning hero Carlos Brathwaite to the hard-hitting Christopher Morris of South Africa, the franchise has this department well covered. Having the quality of such dual-ability players in the side, Delhi possess the ability to play some exciting cricket on the field. And if names of such players don’t worry anyone, Corey Anderson and Angelo Mathews would for sure.
- Young fielding side; Like batting and bowling, fielding is an unsaid criteria to win a game in a T20. Blessed to have players with young legs, strong arms and acrobatic skills, Delhi surely tops everyone when it comes to fielding. With Rahul Dravid at their helm, one expects them to catch well, at least in the slip cordon.
- Dominant bowling set-up; Mohammad Shami, Zaheer Khan, Kagiso Rabada and Nathan Coulter-Nile, the pace bowling line-up is as dominant as that of anyone in the league. With such names lying on a sheet of paper, Delhi looks a rock-solid side.
