2. Weakness
- Injury scares; Injury, game’s evil friend is not going to leave it and it has returned to hurt the Delhi based franchise. Quinton de Kock, one of the most talented and prolific run-scorers in the world of cricket currently, is under the injury cloud and is likely to miss the forthcoming edition. If such a thing happens, it’ll be a huge blow for the side and getting the right replacement wouldn’t be a walk in the park for Zaheer Khan’s side.
- No JP Duminy; Yes, that’s true. South Africa’s Jean Paul Duminy won’t participate in the season 10th of IPL due to personal reasons. An important member of the side, his absence is going to keep the camp worried for now. Dependability on him had much to do with DD’s success over the two years and now, the onus will be on someone else.
- Less dependability on middle-order; Not for the first time and surely not for the last, if Delhi goes onto loss wickets early on, they fail to get the momentum back and eventually get restricted to a low score. Presence of all-rounders hasn’t helped their cause either (in past) and the same demons could return, again.
