The 10th edition of the Indian Premier League was full of ups and downs with teams fighting to seal a place for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians beat Rising Pune Supergiants in nail-biting final to win the title for the third time. However, Pune had tough luck as they had three consecutive wins against win Mumbai before that match.
Mumbai got off to a flier in 2017 with six consecutive wins after a loss in the first match. They were the first team to book a place in the playoff and also finished the league stages on top. Further, Mumbai won 10 of their league games to secure 20 points.
Pune secured 18 points to be the first team to enter the finals beating Mumbai in the qualifier. However, they lost the final, and it was a dream run for the team under Steve Smith.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders were the other two teams to book a place in the playoffs. However, they failed to reach the finals.
Meanwhile, it was a horrific season for Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bengaluru who finished bottom on the points table. They had only three wins from their 14 games. However, with a new team, they will be eager to come out all guns blazing in this edition.
Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils had an average season but failed to win matches at the business end of the tournament. They are also two of the few teams to not win the much-coveted title. They will have an eye this year to put a hand on the trophy.
