Kolkata needed to chase down Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 160 runs in 15.2 overs in their last group game to finish in the top two of the table. However, that was looking very unlikely in the tenth over when they were reduced to 78 for 4. But Yusuf Pathan had some other plans. The big-hitting all-rounder, who was dropped twice early on in his innings, made the most of it and scored the fastest fifty in the history of the tournament to help KKR chase down the total in just 14.2 overs. Kolkata went on to win the title in that season.
