IPL 2017: Video – Mastermind Dhoni Traps Kieron Pollard In Cobweb To Mark End Of Batsman’s Innings
Is there any better mind reader than MS Dhoni in world cricket?
Though he has relinquished the captaincy of Indian cricket team. Though he was sacked as a captain of Rising Pune Supergiant but really, has anyone been able to take the captain out of MS Dhoni? Surely, No!
On Sunday, in the big final, once again we saw the mastermind MS Dhoni’s coming into play and this time, it was Kieron Pollard who had already read out his batting script in front of Dhoni.
Pollard came out to bat when Mumbai Indians were four down for 56 in 10.1 overs. The onus was on him to play a responsible knock.
The first ball West Indies all-rounder played was a six, a huge one. He kept his calm and ran for a single on the next delivery. In the quest to replicate his first ball effort, Pollard tried to take on Adam Zampa but this time, he found a man in the deep in form of Manoj Tiwary standing at a Long on, who took a great catch.
Pollard could just have a stay of three delivers on the pitch which was disappointing and biggest disappointment was that he showed promise on the first ball but flopped later.
There was something special about that wicket, as it was the mind of none other than MS Dhoni to keep a long on for Pollard, as he knew Pollard has a habit of going bang bang and knowing his ability, Dhoni had his plan, which he executed to snare the West Indian.

In the end, Mumbai Indians could manage a total of 129 on the board, which is certainly on a lower side but we might see a turnaround in the game if Mumbai bowlers are able to make most out of the slow pitch of Hyderabad.
