Scoring a Twenty20 century, conceding just seven runs in the 19th over while defending a total or making an impact while fielding- one just cannot keep Ben Stokes out of the action.

The costliest overseas player in the history of the Indian Premier League has already proved his worth with some match-winning performances for Rising Pune Supergiant and the England star has now taken a strong contender for the catch of the season with an extraordinary juggling effort on the boundary line in the ongoing match against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

It was the last over of the Daredevils’ innings bowled by Jaydev Unadkat and as expected the batsman went all out to collect as many runs as possible.

And in doing so, Mohammed Shami blasted the penultimate delivery of the over towards the deep mid-wicket boundary where Stokes was stationed. The ball was looking destined to cross the boundary rope but Stokes had other ideas.

The 25-year-old Englishman sensationally caught the ball at full stretch above his head before his momentum took him backwards over the rope. Realising that he was going to cross the ropes, Stokes tossed the ball into the air before leaping inside the field of play to complete a sensational catch.
