There is a saying that goes like this, ‘ form is temporary class is permanent’ and Delhi Daredevils fast-bowler Mohammed Shami has clearly proved it with a peach of a delivery to dismiss the dangerous David Warner in the ongoing game at Feroz Shah Kotla.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper, who is currently leading the run-scorers’ chart in the league, walked into the match after playing a whirlwind knock against Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous game. The explosive batsman had blasted 126 off only 59 deliveries to guide his team to a comfortable 48-run win and was looking set for another good knock after racing to 30 off just 20 balls before Karun Nair handed the ball to Shami.
The India pacer, who had played just 2 games prior to the ongoing game, did not start the over on a good note, conceding a boundary on the first ball. However, the right-arm pacer had the last laugh as he sent back the in-form Australia opener on the very next ball with a brilliant yorker. Warner tried to make room for himself to guide the ball through the point region but was beaten for pace as the yorker, which was delivered at 141 km/hr, uprooted his off-stump.
Here is a clip of that dismissal:
