IPL 2017: Watch: MS Dhoni’s Brilliant One-Handed Catch To Get Rid Of Marlon Samuels

For Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the ongoing match between Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiant at Feroz Shah Kotla has become quite special, as he became only the second wicketkeeper in the history of the IPL to complete a hundred dismissals.
His 100th victim was Shreyas Iyer when the Mumbai-born batsman edged a Jaydev Unadkat delivery straight to Dhoni behind the stumps.
The former India skipper, meanwhile, made the occasion even more memorable by taking a sensational one-handed catch to send back Marlon Samuels.
The Daredevils were 117 for three when Dan Christian bowled a slower delivery. Looking to guide the ball through the mid-wicket, Samuels made room outside leg but only managed to top-edge the ball behind the stumps. The West Indian, like many Supergiant fielders and most in the crowd at the stadium, must have thought he was safe.
However, Dhoni had other ideas. With the ball passing over his head, the 35-year old kept his eyes on the ball before timing his jump to perfection to complete a brilliant one-handed catch – with his right glove.
Here is a clip of that grab:
