IPL 2017: Watch: Naman Ojha Takes A Sharp Catch To Dismiss MS Dhoni

With Rising Pune Supergiant tottering at 100 for 3 after the end of 15 overs in the ongoing match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Steve Smith-led side needed a quickfire knock from someone to post a respectable total and who better than Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a batsman who is tailor-made for situations like these.
The former India skipper, who has faced severe criticism for his poor performances this season, rose to the occasion, scoring 31 runs from just 21 balls to guide his team to 148 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. As usual, Dhoni began cautiously and was batting on 14 off 10 balls after the 18th over before he decided to take on Sunrisers’ best bowler-Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The 35-year old clobbered a four and two consecutive sixes off the penultimate over as the batting side collected 19 runs off the penultimate over.
Siddarth Kaul, bowling the final over, received the same treatment as Dhoni dispatched the second ball of the over for a four. With Dhoni looking in his elements, everyone was expecting more fireworks from the explosive batsman. However, they were left disappointed as the right-handed batsman was dismissed on the very next ball when he edged a full delivery to the wicketkeeper. The ball was in Dhoni’s zone and was asking to be hit but he could not connect with the ball properly as it went flying past him behind the stumps where Naman Ojha took a sharp catch.
Here is a clip of his dismissal:
