IPL 2017 – Watch – Rashid Khan Outfoxes Wriddiman Saha With Googly
There is absolutely no stopping Rashid Khan. The Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner has already turned heads with his sensational performances in the Indian Premier League so far and his impressive form continued during the ongoing match against Kings XI Punjab too.
Chasing 159, Glenn Maxwell’s men began disastrously, as Hashim Amla was dismissed for a duck. Glenn Maxwell (10) and Eoin Morgan (13) also failed to do much and with the pressure piling on the opposition, David Warner handed over the ball to Rashid and spinner fully justified the decision.
The leg-spinner had gone for 16 runs in his first over but proved his worth with a brilliant second over.
The 18-year old conceded just one run in that over in addition to dismissing the dangerous David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha. And while Miller was responsible for throwing away his wicket, Saha’s wicket came off a beautiful delivery from the spinner.
The India wicketkeeper, who is considered a good player of spin bowling, was clean bowled by a googly from the Afghanistan tweaker. Rashid bowled a good length delivery outside the off stump but Saha played inside the line and consequently, he failed to make any contact with the ball which went past his outside edge before hitting the off stump.
Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab’s score after Saha’s dismissal was 62 for five in 10 overs.
Here is a clip of that dismissal:
