IPL 2017: Watch - Yuvraj Singh Fails To Fire In His Comeback Match 1

After missing two consecutive games owing to a fever, Yuvraj Singh returned to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s playing eleven in their ongoing match against Kings XI Punjab at PCA Stadium, Mohali. And the southpaw could not have asked for a better situation when he came out to bat on his home turf.

At 147 for 2 in the 15th over, the platform was set for the hard-hitting batsman to get some much-needed runs under his belt. However, Yuvraj squandered the chance.

He had started the season with a bang, scoring a blistering 62 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But since then, he managed to score just 49 runs in five matches before being sidelined for a couple of matches due to fever. And he had the chance to find his form on a Mohali pitch that was looking like a good batting track and the way David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan had scored whirlwind fifties, Yuvraj should have made the most of the opportunity.

He even got the start, racing to 15 in 11 balls before throwing away his wicket in the 18th over. Glenn Maxwell fired in a fast delivery which Yuvraj tried to send over the long on boundary. However, in doing so, his bat turned on impact and consequently his shot did not get enough power to clear the rope. The shot went straight to Axar Patel at long-on who made no mistake in pouching it.

Here is a clip of his dismissal:
